Gustavia is the capital of Saint Barthélemy.  You can see the colonial history on display in the architecture, and the red roofs make for great photo opportunities.  Shops, galleries and eateries line the streets of Gustavia, and it’s a great spot for nightlife.

Relax on a beach

St. Barts has many beaches for varying activities.  The leeward side beaches are more protected, while the westward beaches are great for surfing.  

The crystal clear water and protected cove of Anse de Colombier is perfect for snorkeling.  It is only accessible via a hike or by water, so it is a quiet piece of paradise.
Saline Beach is a beautiful white sand beach on the south coast of St. Barts – perfect for a relaxing day in the sun.

St. Jean is a protective cove beach, with a natural coral reef ripe for exploring too.
