The Best Resorts for Winter: January – March

The winter months are undoubtedly the most popular time to escape to a resort.  There’s nothing better than getting your dose of vitamin sea in the gloomy winter months.  

There are four Sandals locations that are prime spots to visit during the winter months:

Saint Lucia

Sandals Halcyon Beach, Sandals Regency La Toc, and Sandals Grande St Lucian are all on the west side of St Lucia; and therefore point towards incredible sunsets.  The winter months offer the most reliable weather, and provide steady 75-85 F temperatures.

The Bahamas

Sandals has 2 resorts in The Bahamas.  Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, and Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau.  Emerald Bay is known for its amazing golf course; and excursions to see the swimming pigs.  Sandals Royal Bahamian has a gorgeous garden and a private island.

While Dec – April is considered high season in the Bahamas, so while the islands may be busy during this period, Sandals resorts have plenty of space to find your own relaxing space.

Barbados

Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados are right next to each other, so you receive the special ‘Stay at 1, Play at 2’ exchange privileges here.  Averaging a perfect 86 F during these dry months, Barbados is a great place to escape to for some winter sun.

Grenada

Grenada’s driest months are January through May, so Sandals Grenada is a great place to visit in either winter or spring.

The Best Resorts for Spring: April – June

Grenada

As mentioned above, Grenada’s best months run from winter into spring, so you can visit any time for great temperatures.  To avoid the busiest crowds, late April and May can see decent weather (before the humid June rainy season), but thinning visitors.

Antigua

While the driest months are December through April, the best time to visit is May to November to avoid the crowds.  The weather stays merrily above 80 F and this little island is delightful in the off season.

The Best Resorts for Summer: July – September

Along with Antigua above, the best Sandals resort to visit in the summer months is:

Curaçao

Curaçao is in the southern Caribbean, next to Aruba and Bonaire.  This Dutch territory is much cheaper to visit in their off season from May-November.  Temperatures average 78 – 88 F, so it is the perfect balance of price and weather.

Sandals newest property, Royal Curaçao, is the hottest ticket for adults-only resorts this year.

The Best Resorts for Fall: October – December

Jamaica

Hands down, the best place to be in November is in Jamaica.  Peak season hasn’t arrived yet, but the weather is great and there are deals to be had.  

Sandals has 6 resorts in Jamaica – Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals Negril, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Royal Plantation, and Sandals South Coast (the newest resort on the south coast).
